Empowered, beautiful and confident – this is what Victoria Beckham says she aims to make women feel with her Autumn collection for Estée Lauder. And this is exactly how I felt after my make-up session the other day.
Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder is a collection which reflects Victoria’s personal beauty vision inspired by her favorite cities of the world. In general, my vision is pretty different to hers. She loves dark eyes and nude lipsticks. I’m very much into bright and colorful lipsticks. I barely ever apply anything to my eyes other than a mascara. Sometimes I would go for a cat-eye, but it’s a rare occasion. With this beauty session I gave one of her signature looks a go. I covered my eyes in L.A. glow to achieve this glamorous and somehow laid-back look. And I enjoyed it – despite the fact it’s not the typical Denina.
One of the biggest surprises was the nude lip color. I did not anticipate this shade would look good on me, but I already wore it a couple of times. However, it does make me appear more grown-up, but this wouldn’t bother me at all.
I have been using Estée Lauder products for years, but never tried the VB collaboration ones. Products which definitely caught my eye are the Highlighter, the multi purpose Aura Gloss which gives that wet-shine finish, and the Eye Ink Mascara, which thickens and lengthens lashes to extremes without weighing them down. I would also say the Eye Metals Eyeshadow in Blonde Gold is very nice – rich, creamy, ultra-pearl powder which literally draws light to the eyes. I can definitely say these are my absolute favorites from the collection, which I would recommend.
