I love the feeling when I open my wardrobe in the morning and it’s well arranged with clothes I actually wear. It wasn’t so until recently…
Until recently, I have had difficulties saying goodbye to clothes and accessories I wouldn’t wear. Especially those in good condition. Anyway, I finally thought it’s high time that things change. I built a decision-making scheme, consisting of 7 questions for easy wardrobe clean-up.
Does it fit?
Have I worn it in the past 12 months?
Would I wear it again?
Is it trendy, appropriate for my age and does it match my personal style?
Is it damaged in a way, and will I ever make the effort to fix it?
Does it give me confidence?
If I were shopping right now, would I buy it?
The case is – if the answer to the majority of questions is NO, you can say goodbye. Of course, this doesn’t mean you should toss it…
During my last wardrobe clean-up I used these 7 questions to help me and finally collected a huge bag, full of unneeded clothes, shoes and accessories. I started selling them on Shedd. Luckily, they go quickly, when low-priced. Do you know what’s the best part about this whole thing? I already bought a lovely dress with the money. :)
How do you do your seasonal wardrobe clean-up? Any tips to share?
