La vida es chula (Life is cool) is today’s motto of the day, inspired by Desigual. One thing the Spanish brand is well-known for is the positivism and fun in its collections, represented by a vibrant explosion of colors. I’ve never seen myself in anything Desigual, but on putting on this dress, I suddenly submerged into the happy spirit of the brand.
Desigual has been running a collaboration collection with Mr. Christian Lacroix for a couple of years now. The dress I’m wearing is the signature one from his designs for Spring/Summer 2015. It is also the one Adriana Lima wore at the NYFW. To be honest, I really love the contrast between the colorful, embroidered jewels and the black and white pattern. It is so fresh and lovely. And as the designer says “it is meant to inspire happiness.” It does uplift you!

As you see, I’ve combined the free and fun spirit of Desigual with a little bit of a rock flavor in this outfit. This makes the look more urban and edgy. And with a little pop of lime green, it all gets bright and colorful again.
