I’ve always admired those who master the well contoured look, but have scarcely ever attempted to do it myself. However, about a month ago I got my hands on Clinique’s Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and Sculpting Highlighter, and enjoyed the technique so much that I had to share this easy contouring routine with you.
The product itself is not as new on the market, but it took me some time before I make up mind to buy it. Luckily, it was a worthy investment. It takes only a few minutes and you work it out with your fingers. No brushes and extra tools needed, which makes it perfect when traveling. This is how I do it myself:
- After applying a base over my face, I apply the highlighter on the zones I want to highlight e.g. cheekbones, nose bridge, center of chin and above eyebrows.
- Right after that I apply the contour under my cheekbones, a small amount on the sides of my nose and on the highest point of my forehead, just above the temples.
- Then from looking ridiculous I need to go to looking good by slowly rubbing in the product so both shades blend with each other while still defining their specific zones.
Voalá! A well defined look is achieved with outlined cheekbones and fresh and glowy highlighted zones. And the best part is you can rely on these sticks for both your day and night looks only by controlling the amount applied. Just finish off with a proper lipstick, and you’re all set and done.
