I bought my wedding dress at the end of 2022 from the first bridal boutique I ever visited. It’s Gabbiano from Mille Bridal and the accessories come as separates. I loved the simple design of the dress. Felt like it resonated with my personality so much! Especially, the way I accessorised it with the gloves and scarf. Very vintage-inspired and very much me.
Plus, the dress is so simple that I could make my dream come true – have a pair of Manolo Blahnik Hangisi heels for the wedding. I’m so happy because they added the touch of glam I needed.
Of course, it doesn’t come without a story to it. First of all, the day I went to purchase the dress I was a bit early so I grabbed a coffee from Bulgaria Mall and sat outside. At that time we were a bit unsure of our plans so I was hesitant whether to buy a dress or not. Sitting there, being slightly nervous, there a saw a white pigeon in front of me. I smiled because I thought it was a sign.
I went on. Tried more dresses at Mille Bridal, but still loved the one I initially fell in love with. So, I bought it. Which means I paid for it and the boutique had to order it to the designer. Upon leaving the boutique, the woman working there said “Look at what a beautiful day you have chosen to buy a dress!” It was the day of the Christian family. I thought “Yet another sign!”.
However, the story doesn’t end there. A week after I get a call from the owner of the boutique – Milla. It turns out the designer has issue with the delivery of the fabric and they cannot provide. They offer to use satin but it’s the fabric that I love. Luckily for me, Milla offered me to have the sample dress and get it sized for me. I said yes in an instant. I really loved the dress and the fabric! So, not only did I end up having the dress, but also I ended up having a dress that no one else would have. Which was never intended but was kind of cool. :)
Milla turned out to be such an amazing and helpful person. She made everything possible that I get the dress and the accessories I wanted. I was so happy that I bought my dress from such a positive and kind person. If you have a wedding coming up, I sincerely, sincerely recommend checking on Mille Bridal.
And lastly. Many people ask me why I did not design my own dress. The answer is that it would have taken me a lot of time and energy which I decided to save for other responsibilities of mine. Maybe, had I not found the dress for me, I would have done it myself. But that was not the case. I found a dress I loved pretty quickly so I saved myself a lot of time and hassle.
