As somebody who is genuinely interested in fashion, I always check on trends, and try to incorporate them, because it’s just my passion. But that doesn’t mean it has to be a 100% blind following of the trend report. In no way. I think the good thing about trends is every person’s own interpretation. And since one of the trendiest trends this season is all about that western influence, today I’m sharing my take on western style.
With the significant presence of western influence in style this season, cowboys and that mid-west theme are both a big thing. This includes all specifics – cowboy boots, denim, suede, fringe, saddle bags, you name it. Yet, in my personal view, following the trend in its entirety may get you into more of a Halloween look instead. So, it’s very much about the balance between personal style and the trend that actually makes it all good and appropriate.
I’ll give you an example. I’m very wary of cowboy boots. It is such a rare occasion that I like a pair. Such a rare occasion! Respectively, you will (almost) never ever see me wear cowboy boots. So, there’s certainly a cross mark on this trend when it comes to me. But, I do enjoy denim & suede! As a result, would rather wear a denim set, consisting of a jacket and a skirt, simple white high-neck top & a suede crossbody bag. Still brings a western mood, but definitely far from overdoing it.
What’s your take on western style or you would keep aside when it comes to that cowboy styling?
