Those of you following me for a while, know that I love natural makeup and almost never wear heavy makeup on. I’m a supporter of naturally defined beauty. However, this Autumn I upgraded my old makeup routine with new beauty finds which are worth mentioning!
For years I have been using the Estēe Lauder Double Wear Nude WaterFresh Foundation. The lightest and most natural looking to me. However, I recently and finally found a worthy replacement as I enjoy switching products from time to time. This is the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation.
It is a silky serum foundation that combines Active Skin Energizing Complex with weightless tone-perfecting pigments and give the skin a brighter, smoother & flawless look. It doesn’t feel heavy and nourishes the skin. If you are seeking a glowy skin and have dry to normal skin, you may love this product as much as I did.
It also has a UV filters defending against environmental stressors to help prevent collagen damage and fight the visible signs of aging. Only thing you should bear in mind is that from my own experience this foundation goes lighter. I picked Beige N-042 as I usually purchase 3N series from other brands and this one felt lighter than expected. I think Natural N-052 would have been a better match.
The next step to perfect skin this season for me is the Nude Finnish Illuminating Powder in Buff. I got it in a shade darker because I wanted to also use it for delicate contouring. It has different color blocks which form a great blend, but can be used separately using a small brush for different spots and purposes, which is clever and smart to keep in mind.
Also this Autumn my lips will get a glossy upgrade. Still in the nude tones, of course. Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused gloss is a non-sticky, moisturizing lip gloss infused with a blend of nutrient-rich botanical oils. It also got the 2020 Harper’s Bazaar Anti-Aging Award, Best Lip Tint (April 2020). The color is very discreet (mine is called Sweet Talk), and the lips feel plump and full. This product also is paraben-free, phthalate-free, sulfate-free & sulfite-free, which makes it an even better choice.
For my eyes I upgraded with Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick. This is the type of product I’d love to use on my lids. I am not good at blending traditional powder shadows, but this one is creamy and so easy to blend! Super easy to work with fingers and the best part is that after you apply it, it dries out and wouldn’t fall. It is also easy to blend with other colors from the series. I picked the Sunlight Gold which goest great with Golden Bronze & Golden Pink. I got my eye on these two!
