For a while I have been following Pati Dubroff. She is a makeup artist who works with major international magazines and does the makeup for many celebrities. What’s so special about her? Well, I think she’s the queen of natural looking makeup. All her looks are super fresh, glowy and enhancing natural beauty, featuring perfect shades and combinations. My favorite ones are those she does on Margot Robbie – lots of nudes and different orange tones. So, I got influenced by Pati and developed a new everyday makeup look for Fall inspired by Margot Robbie.
Here’s the recipe or in other words, how you can adopt the look this season with products Pati uses. Best part is it’s super easy as I’m not into complicated beauty looks. :)
I have been so loyal so Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh that I will keep on using it this season, too. For me personally, the right foundation is something so individual that once you’ve found it, you don’t need to change. So I stick to my old favorite, instead of following Pati’s recommendations.
EYES & CHEEKS
I unite these two into one section because for me they should go in synergy. As previously mentioned I always apply my blush onto my eyelids, too and it is because the whole face looks more harmonious and fresh.
I start by applying the Chanel Ombre Première eyeshadow in Undertone (802). It has a really nice pigment – the color is warm and creates a natural glow over the eyes. Very long-lasting, too! Hard to see in pictures but in person – it looks absolutely amazing!
After applying it, I reach out to the blush Chanel Joues Contraste in Brume D’or (03). I apply it at the cheeks, as well as at the high points below the eyebrows. As I said, it gives the face a harmonious look, and adds a bit of brightness to the eyes as opposed to the nude look of the Ombre Premiére eyeshadow.
To finish off I use the Chanel Le Volume Révolution de Chanel. I would only recommend it if you like your lashes stacked and voluminous. One can easily recreate the Twiggy makeup look with it, but I personally prefer well-brushed lashes, so I’m not sure if I’d go back to this same product again.
I fell in love with this lipstick on one of the Margot Robbie looks by Patti! I wasn’t sure if it’d suit my complexion, but it did. It turned out to be super universal and I feel it would suit many complexions. It’s the Chanel Rouge Allure in 174 Rouge Angelique and is literally my new favorite nude lipstick. The one that never leaves my purse.
How does your everyday makeup look for Fall looks? Do you tend to change your routine with seasons?
