I recently got my hands on Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Limited Edition 2020. It is not my typical go to perfume as this one is more floral sweet than all the fragrances I use but I still find something about it that I like.
In 2012 Gucci released a collection of fragrances which included five important blossoms present in the legendary Gucci Scarf print, designed by Vittorio Accornero for Princess Grace of Monaco. One of these scents is Gorgeous Gardenia. The last couple of years there were a few limited editions of the bottle, yet all of them having the signature flower drawings made for Princess Grace. In 2020 the collectable piece pays homage to the nuances of the color lavender.
The fragrance reveals an opulent floral heart with a delicate prelude of red berries and pear. The white Gardenia petals are enhanced by the warmth of the Frangipani flower and underlaid by the aroma of Patchouli and brown sugar.
Longevity: On my skin moderate to long lasting.
Sillage: To me it’s moderate to heavy.
The fragrance is sweet, floral-fruity and extremely feminine. As I said, it is not my typical fragrance, but is one that I’d like to keep in my collection, because of the sense of style and timelessness.
And I am a fan of the Gucci aesthetics in general. I like the Gucci Bloom line and I fancy to try the latest edition Gucci Bloom Profumo di Fiori. I also really like Gucci Mémoire d’une Odeur which is the strangest fragrance I ever tried and yet just perfect!
