WINTER LAYERING

Layering in Winter - Purely Me by Denina Martin

As promised – the second post from our trip to Borovets. Though I am more into warm if not hot weather, I still like it when it’s cold. Why? Because you can experiment with layering!

That particular day was sunny but I still wanted to stay warm. So, I put on my black boyfriend coat (similar here), a pair of skinny elastic trousers, a cream turtleneck sweater from Esprit and a pair of snow boots (similar here). Was that, enough? Not at all. There was something missing in this outfit to distract from the way-too-simple monochrome look. So I thought it’s a good idea to incorporate some denim through a tailored vest (similar version here), and thus do some nice layering.

Anyway, also a cute twist to this look, in my opinion, is the black furry hat. It keeps me warm and makes a lovely statement. You can now buy a similar one here on sale. It’s classy and probably will hardly ever go out of fashion. Another crucial accessory for winter are gloves, but I always forget to take them when outing in the city. Of course, that doesn’t count for the mountain. Honestly, a pair of warm gloves are so important since they keep the skin protected and soft. I think I really need to make the habit of wearing some.

So, what do you think about the layering in this outfit? Will be happy to hear from you in the comments below. :)

Love,

Denina ♥
