Fashion used to be about matching things out. We used to spend hours looking for a bag which has exactly the same color as our new shoes. Women would be like “I can’t wear silver earrings, because my necklace is gold!”. Well, things change and should change. In nowadays the key to looking stylish is more simple than ever. The only phrase you need to remember is “Say ‘no’ to matchy-matchy!“.
Undoubtedly, fashion is a kind of an art. But in art a masterpiece features the imperfect, the asymmetry, the imbalance and variety of colors, shapes and light. If you want your outfits to be little pieces of art, you’d better reconsider those old-fashioned styling perceptions that include the word “same”. Truth is the more your outfit pieces go together too well, the more forced and unstylish your look is going to be. Of course, there are always exceptions, but next time you go on a shopping hunt, remember – the key to looking stylish is by opting for the different and not so matchy. Same as in nature – it’s imperfect but still so beautiful. So, be brave and don’t stay save.
In this outfit from Bulgaria Mall, not a single thing really matches the other. And that’s what makes it look good. The patterned dress from United Colors of Benetton doesn’t have mustard on it, but still looks fantastic with that sweater. The nude FURLA bag is too different from all other pieces, but it’s totally fine, isn’t it?

All of the aforementioned items are available at the stores of Bulgaria Mall.
I’ll use the opportunity to challenge you into avoiding matchy-matchy when it comes to how you dress this week. Would you accept it?
Sending you lots of love,
