In late May and early June my home town Kazanlak is overwhelmed by the elating scent of roses and traditions. This is when the Rose Festival at its peak takes place, and the town is enlivened by all the cultural and folklore activities taking place there.
While you already heard a similar story last year and saw me wearing a piece of traditional attire, this year Ron and I decided to take another dose of photos portraying the Bulgarian folkore. Just for fun, just because we loved the idea, and not the least – because we want to constantly remind you how beautiful and unique Bulgarian traditions are. To be honest, I wish I could experience those traditions more often. I even dream of having my own Bulgarian traditional garb – hopefully in the near future.
Have you ever been to the Rose Festival? I encourage you to visit Kazanlak in the first week of June 2017. You will love it!
