Today’s outfit of the day is all about monochrome. It involves only two colors and these form the classiest combination you could ever go for. Black and white must be one of the most loved color matches.
Black-and-white always looks modern, whatever that word means.” Karl Lagerfeld
In his well-known manner Karl Lagerfeld always seems to make style statements that last. They last because they are real. This monochrome color combination is universal and has remained modern throughout most fashion ages. This is so because you can hardly go wrong with it. It is classy, elegant, and helps you stand out in the same way black and white stand out from each other.
For this street style look I’m wearing classic straight pants and a white MANGO shirt with black lining (pretty much the same here and here). The latter is an universal piece that will also look great with jeans, or why not a high-waisted A-line skirt.
Generally, when you decide on wearing a monochrome outfit, you may want to play with fabrics. The silky shirt here goes very well with this knitted LTB vest with fur details (alternative here). This combination adds a lovely twist and playfulness that can hardly stay unnoticed. Adding up some wool fabric through the H&M fedora hat (love this one) and a little bit of leather through the handbag I pushed it even further.
Do you often decide on wearing monochrome outfits?
