May is the month when we all begin to prepare for summer, and this includes fresh additions to our beauty bags. Today I’m sharing the may beauty finds that got my attention and are new to my beauty bag, which I impressed me one way or another.
CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE 72-HOUR AUTO-REPLENISHING HYDRATOR
This is the latest addition to the Clinique skin hydration series. It’s a gel-cream with a light texture that absorbs quickly and does not aggravate, making it great for the already noticeably warmer days. The feeling is of a refreshed and nourished skin. The only downside of the product is that there is no sunscreen, which requires an additional use of one, but this lack makes it suitable for application in the evenings. So, it has its own prons. I personally like to use it while traveing, because this is when the skin becomes really thirsty for hydration.
BVLGARI OMNIA PINK SAPPHIRE
The first Omnia scent came out in 2003, but I need to admit – I never liked any of the Omnia fragrances. This is the first one I find to be a good one. I cannot say it’s is one of my favorite fragrances but definitely deserves attention as the first Omnia that I like. The fragrance is fresh, light and very suitable for the season. The top notes are pink grapefruit, pomelo and pink pepper. The middle ones are frangipani and tiare. At the base are laid musk, vanilla and woody notes.
GUERLAIN My Rouge G
The lipstick My Rouge G was launched for the first time in 1956 and revived by Olivier Echaudemaison and jeweler Lorenz Bäumer in 2009. It has a special formula with the latest generation of pigments and brightening ingredients for extraordinary dense color. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, jojoba and mango oil, it adds volume, smoothens and hydrates. In addition, it is now being launched with the opportunity to create your own style and combinations.
Thanks to Lorenz Bäumer, the lipstick turns into a real jewel and an accessory. He makes the design of 15 different magical packages in a round shape and with a double mirror that opens in one movement. The shape is inspired by a golden bar and the curves of the female body. With these 15 different packs and 30 colors from the My Rouge G series Guerlain allows unique customization according to one’s personal style. I myself like the very light variations of the cartridge cases (mine is Preppy Chic), while my lipstick color is medium red with neutral to cold undertones (#25).
Douglas Collection Slimming Cream
I guess I’m the worst person to discuss slimming products because I’ve never used one before. But on the other hand, I am totally unfamiliar and my assessment is completely objective. In this line of thought, this Douglas Collection product impressed me. I really feel like there’s an actual tightening effect when I apply it on my thighs. The contouring body cream contains a combination of specially selected ingredients that refine the silhouette, counteract cellulite and make the skin look firmer and more elastic. Caffeine, caraway extract and shea oil give this cream an excellent moisturizing texture. Besides, I very much like the presence of the massage head, which supports the penetration of the product. This is probably the key to the good results. I only need to be more consistent when it comes to application.
Douglas Collection No-Rinse Firming Scrub
Summer is almost here and it requires good skin preparation. This is where exfoliation comes. I like this product because it literally melts on the skin. It is a lotion enriched with cherry oil and a strengthening pea extract. It is used without washing. With a gentle massaging moves the small peeling granules remove the dead cells, subsequently melting and absorbing into the skin. This effectively helps the natural skin regeneration process. The result is fresh and tender skin. Something like a 2 in 1 product – peeling and hydrating at once.
