It’s one month left till Christmas and the festive season is now officially open, starting up with Thanksgiving. It’s going to be a month full of changes for me and hopefully excitement. I hope soon I will be able to share with you how things around me are going. :)
Anyway, the point is you will have a number of celebrations to visit in the following weeks, and you may need some beauty ideas to inspire you. That’s why I prepared a Holiday Makeup Look post with just 5 products e.g. my beauty essentials and a recent find that makes the look so stunning. The latter is actually the Estee Lauder Pure Color long lasting lipstick in Plum Couture, which is rich in color but leaves the lips soft and creamy smooth.
Deep and dark lips are huge this season and look extremely glamorous, especially when combined with a sexy cat-eye. So with this look you’re being both classy classic and color-innovative. What’s the best thing about it? It’s a piece of pie to achieve this holiday makeup look and most of the products you probably already have in your beauty bag.
Step by Step
To start from the beginning, I always start my makeup routine with Guerlain’s Parure de Lumiere foundation. It’s appropriate for dry skin (what mine is) and has a really nice illuminating effect. Then I move on to the eyes, applying Estee Lauder’s black eyeliner on the upper lid and inside the eye for a deeper cat-eye. I finish the eye look with a couple of mascara layers. The product I use on a daily basis is Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Mascara. It defines my eye-lashes very naturally and does not let them stick together.
However, nothing looks in place without a good amount of color on the cheekbones. I’m also a big fan of Guerlain’s Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder (this one in color #5). I know it’s best for recreating a summer glow, but I personally enjoy using it in winter, too. And last but not least – the lipstick – catchy, poppy and trendy.
Voilá! Your sexy festive beauty look in just 5 makeup products is nailed! A pretty quick and easy way to stand out and shine classy. What do you think?
P.S.: Going back to the lip color, Estee Lauder’s lipstick is a little bit darker and more intense in reality than it looks on the photos. You may want to keep this in mind, though I did my best to photograph it the way it looks. ;)
