Those of you who are following me on Instagram know that we spent the past weekend by the seaside. We went to my favorite spot of all on the Black Sea – Nessebar. Favorite because of the inspiring scenery and the ancient spirit it has. I will tell you more about this magical place in a following post.
Since we needed a bit of a scenery change, we decided on heading off to the seaside for a few days. Despite my hopes the weather would be sunbathing-appropriate, I was aware it’s just the beginning of May. Summer is just not yet here. However, though it wasn’t perfectly warm and sunny, we still had a great time. We were going out for long walks and enjoying the ancient atmosphere of the old town. One of the places we enjoyed visiting was the local harbor. Looking at the little boats, I was dreaming of entering the open sea. Sailing is something I do enjoy though I don’t get the chance to do it that often. Maybe exactly my love for sailing leads me to the harbor every time I visit a marine city.
What more appropriate colors can a harbor girl wear than whites and blues. Inspired by the timeless color palette of seamen, I styled my own version of denim-on-denim in contrasting hues. The knitted jumper softens the look and adds some cosiness to it, while the bag and heels pop out to make a statement. Speaking of statements, you must have noticed the most beautiful and delicate one – my DANIEL WELLINGTON Classy St Mawes watch. That one really glams up the look and adds just enough of that luxury feeling.
Stay tuned for other posts from our weekend getaway in Nessebar. :)
