Having a kid means you are more likely to get excited about holidays than before. Ron and I did get excited about this Halloween mainly for one reason – dressing up Alex. We ordered this tiger costume from TK Maxx, and he loved it. The one thing that he didn’t enjoy as much was the hood itself, which made photographing those special moment a really tough job. Honestly, the only proper photos he let us take are these!
In regards to how Ron and I dressed up this Halloween, you can see for yourself here. It wasn’t a major dress up, mainly a make-up thing, but Alex was frightened to see mommy and daddy like that. With time he got used to our scary looks, but remained a bit mistrustful. Call us bad parents, but we did have a lot of fun with this. It must have been the best Halloween I’ve ever had, though we just stayed at home and watched movies.
You wonder why this was the best one? Because all the Halloweens I’ve ever celebrated were a huge failure. I remember the first proper Halloween party we were about to attend in the UK with my flatmates. I was so disgusted by all the drunkness, blood and the long wait in front of the club that in a few minutes I found myself in bed. So, yes, this was the best Halloween I’ve ever had. :)
How did you spend your Halloween?
