[dropcap]B[/dropcap]efore Autumn stepped in, we tried to take the most from those last Summer days (we still do). So, we went on a family picnic. It was a French-inspired picnic with blue cheese, camembert, grapes, rose wine and bread. Recently, I have started enjoying cheeses mixed with sweet tasting foods and fruits. Well, Ron and Alex have not. My little guy enjoys solely the grapes. So much, that he wouldn’t stop feeding each of us with them.
However, going on a picnic is not impossible in Autumn. What’s more, it might be even better, as excessive heat is no longer an issue. Just pick a nice sunny afternoon. If you are planning to do this, here are a few tips to bear in mind:
Plan and prepare dishes in advance by choosing a picnic theme e.g. cuisine inspired.
Get a picnic basket to store everything inside.
Get a large picnic blanket.
Get some wine + a cooling plate.
Don’t forget water.
Small chopping board and a good knife will be of great use.
Multi-use plastic cups, plates and cutleries, too.
Pick the place in advance.
Bring some board games and play cards.
And most importantly – bring your loved ones + a great dose of good mood.
When was the last time you went on a picnic? Any personal tips to share?
