A street style trend that stands out currently is the back-to-front shirt. Let me translate this. Basically, fashionistas around the world are starting to wear their shirts backwards – with the button down part on their backs. While this might sound like another rebellious way to capture attention, indeed it is turning into something more. It is turning into a fashion movement and I really enjoy joining it.

Wearing the back-to-front shirt trend is a quick way to refresh your look and get your styling to another level. It looks sexy and is an acceptably bold decision. Some brands have even started selling shirts designed with button-down details on the back. But you really don’t need to invest extra cash in this – you can devise it yourself as I did here with this polka dot ruffle shirt. To be honest, that shirt must have been made for this trend. I loved how well it looked styled this way, not to mention the comfort.

So, if you want to join me for the back-to-front shirt trend, you have a number of ways to do it. Starting with buttoning your shirt up throughly or just in the upper part, going through letting it fall loosely, tucking it in or knotting it. You can also show off your shoulder(s), but that’s a risky one. Whatever you opt for, just make sure it makes you feel comfortable and confident.

That’s such a lovely and interesting shirt! I love the flounce hem and it pairs very well with the blue jeans. It’s always great to see how trends experiment and change.
